New discoveries link psychotic illness and autoimmunity

I've just had a free hour long consultation with one of Londons top consultant psychiatrists. Except I was there to educate him, not the other way round! He believes he has other patients, particularly those with treatment resistant depression, that could benefit from following AIP. I provided him with a pile of research papers and we discussed the work of Fasano, Kharrazian, Deans and others and how it could all be applied to psychiatry. He wants me to speak with his ol...d university professor who is pioneering research into autoimmunity and brain disorders and even encouraged me to consider undertaking my own multi-disciplinary PhD and making a contribution to knowledge, changing the way psychiatric illness is diagnosed and treated (that might be too much to ask)! I'll be writing to his Oxford professor this weekend; she's already making incredible discoveries.
